National Handloom Day 2025- "Heritage Hands - A Tapestry of Weaves'"
The Women Entrepreneurs Committee of MACCIA marked National Handloom Day with a vibrant event titled "Heritage Hands - A Tapestry of Weaves" at Oricon House, Mumbai.
Led by President, Maccia, Lalit Gandhi, Dr. Dhanashri Hardas, and team WEC, Heritage Hands - a tapestry of weaves was a powerful ode to India's weaving traditions and its future in contemporary. It featured engaging panel discussion, handloom and hand crafted exhibition and a fashion show.The inauguration of the event was witnessed at the hands of Senior Vice President Ravindra Mangave,who recommended that 7th August should be an international handloom day and Maccia will work in that direction. Vice President Sangeeta Patil spoke about handlooms and support maccia offers. A loud shout out to our Vice President Karunakar Shetty who shouldered and directed the event with as always smile.Chairperson of WEC, Dr. Dhanashri Hardas ,welcomed panelist stall holders and dignitaries amongst audience students and all the people present. Co chairpersons Shweta Inamdaar and Shilpa Jain GC member Vedanshu Patil, Shamika Nadkarni,Rupa Naik,Sunita Bhuyan,Anuradha Suhani Kadambari Doke, Pratibha Ghadge along with dignitaries Kajal Mehta, Vibhu Nagral, Pushpita Rath Shernaz Sudha Tumbe Sharmila Barve were present. Moderated by Dr. Dhanashri Hardas, the panel included industry leaders:

The audience embraced the handloom and handcrafted dress code, reinforcing a strong message of cultural pride and sustainability.
